A rural upbringing with dogs and an early introduction into the shooting field developed a lifelong love for dogs. Working alongside gun dogs, some good, some unruly developed an interest and a passion to train dogs. Starting as a hobby it has slowly developed, with my experience in the shooting field both as a part time keeper and a keen country man it has enabled me to interact with numerous breeds of dog and experience in both good and bad in the dogs as well as the handlers.
Utilising and adapting some of these skills and integrating these with my own abilities and desires has allowed me to develop a solid understanding for passive dog training for both the dog and equally as important the dog owner/handler.
Gun dog training has always been my passion, but before any dogs progress to any type of specialisation they all require basic obedience training including socialisation and interaction and exposure to as many situations as possible.
Basic obedience is the foundation for creating any happy well balanced dog, tailoring some of the basic training i use in developing a gun dog serves your every day pet dog very well. Puppy classes and basic obedience classes are also available to help you get the best from your dog, to understand your dog to encourage it, for it to be obedient but all importantly for your dog to be happy and balanced and for you as the owner to have the fun and fulfillment that comes from having a well balanced happy dog.
